Introducing our classic MEXICO sandal, now in a new variation crafted with suede leather tanned in oak bark. Our focus has shifted to the meticulous selection of materials for the insole, which forms the foundation of this design.
Retaining its iconic three parallel straps, this version features straps that run from the inner heel to the forefoot and back, creating a distinctive cross over the instep for superior foot support. Notably, these straps are adjustable throughout their length, ensuring a personalized fit and allowing for readjustment as needed over time. Instead of relying on conventional buckles or closures, each strap is carefully woven into the heel strap, ensuring secure fastening — a technique we proudly refer to as our "Mexican connection."
Beneath the ankle, the interwoven straps add an extra touch of style. The design of the straps results in a slightly wider sole at the forefoot, emphasizing the robust character of our MEXICO Velour sandal.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, MEXICO Velour boasts practical advantages derived from its suede construction. The insole, crafted from 3-4mm thick, vegetable-tanned leather, offers exceptional durability and comfort. Its ability to regulate sweat ensures your feet remain fresh and dry, while the lightly textured surface of the sole leather provides enhanced traction and prevents cracking over time. Utilizing traditional tanning techniques with oak bark gives the leather a unique structure, providing durability and stability.
Compared to the standard model, the Velour version features a slightly thicker sole construction.
